Shipping, returns and terms

Shipping is free to every address in the lower 48 states, with no order minimum. Orders leave our shop in Caddo Mills, Texas by UPS Ground. Nothing is added at checkout — the price on the part is the price you pay, plus sales tax.

Housings and speedometer drive kits are machined to the gear combination you enter in the calculator, so they are made to order. Current lead time is 7 to 10 business days before the package leaves the shop. Stocked composite parts and covers ship within 2 to 3 business days. You will get a tracking number by email as soon as the label is cut.

Alaska, Hawaii and the US territories are not available at online checkout, because the freight to those addresses varies too much to fold into a flat price. We will still ship there — call 903-527-2006 or send a quote request with your address and what you need, and we will price the freight and come back to you, usually within one business day. Oversize and freight items work the same way. We do not ship outside the United States.

Inspect the carton before you sign for it. If the box arrives crushed or the part is damaged, photograph it and call us the same day — carrier claims have to be filed quickly, and we will handle the claim for you.

All sales are final. Everything we sell is machined or laid up in small batches to the specification on the order, so we do not accept returns or exchanges and we do not issue refunds for change of mind, incorrect ordering, or fitment the buyer did not verify.

That makes the numbers you enter important. Tail housings and speedometer drive kits are cut for the tire diameter, rear gear ratio and transmission you give us in the calculator, and a housing cut for one combination will not work for another. Check the calculator output before you order, and if there is any doubt, call the shop at 903-527-2006 first — we will walk the combination through with you. There is no charge for that call and it is the whole reason we answer the phone.

If the mistake is ours, it is ours to fix. A part that leaves here cut to the wrong combination, machined out of spec, or damaged in transit gets remade or refunded in full, shipping both ways included. Call us with the order number and a photograph and we will get it moving the same day.

Do not ship anything back without calling first. Parts returned without prior authorization cannot be credited or returned to you.

These terms apply to every order placed through swfabrication.com with Southwest Fabrication, Caddo Mills, Texas.

Prices and payment. Prices are in US dollars and are the prices shown at checkout. Cards are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Sales tax is calculated and added at checkout for the states where we are registered to collect it. We may correct an obvious pricing error before an order ships, and will contact you first if we do.

All sales final. Orders are accepted on the terms in the Returns section above: no returns, exchanges or refunds except where the error is ours. Placing an order is your agreement to that.

Fitment is the buyer's call. The gear calculator produces the combination we machine from the numbers you enter. You are responsible for those numbers — tire diameter, rear gear ratio and transmission — being correct for your vehicle. We will gladly check them with you before you order.

Warranty. Parts are sold as-is, with no express written warranty and no implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent Texas law allows. That said, we stand behind our machining: if a part left this shop out of spec or cut to the wrong combination, call us and we will remake it or refund it. Normal wear, racing use, improper installation, modification and damage from an unrelated failure are not covered.

Limitation of liability. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for the part. We are not liable for labor, downtime, towing, consequential or incidental damages. Some of what we sell is intended for off-road or competition use; installation and legality are the buyer's responsibility.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute is brought in the courts of Hunt County, Texas.

We collect what an order needs and nothing else: your name, email, phone, shipping address, the parts you bought, and the gear specification you entered. We keep that record so we can machine the part, ship it, support it, and cut you the same combination again years later.

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers. We use Stripe for payment, a carrier for delivery, and email to reach you about your order. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

The site uses cookies only to keep your cart and your session working. Ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold on you, or to have it deleted — we will do it, keeping only what tax and warranty records require.
